Social Worker at St Paul’s Co-educational College (SPCC)
Partner:
St Paul’s Co-educational College (SPCC)
Period:
March 2013 – August 2017
Beneficiaries:
Students and Teachers of SPCC
CPF has joined hands with the St. James’ Settlement to station a second full-time social worker at SPCC since March 2013. Over the years, the additional social worker has conducted various programmes for students in need of support, especially those suffering from emotional disturbance due to interpersonal relationships and developmental adjustment.
In view of the project’s success, CPF has further extended its support of this programme. By walking alongside students and providing help when necessary, we hope we can ensure the mental wellness of the students at SPCC at a crucial time of their psychosocial development.
Project Feedback
With the sponsorship from the Community Partner Foundation, SPCC is able to equip herself with an additional full time social worker since 2013. While remedial work is indispensable in helping students in need, promoting the holistic wellbeing of students is far more effective in developing a healthy mind in our future leaders. The additional manpower enables the school to organize various developmental activities, which can strengthen the coping skills of students and enhance the bonding among students, teachers and parents within the SPCC family. We believe that this healthy and positive relationship can guide our students through their challenging path to maturity.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Community Partner Foundation in making it possible.
