In 2012, the founder of Community Partner Foundation (CPF) supported the University of Hong Kong in establishing the Danny D. B. Ho Professorship in Family Medicine. The Endowed Professorship was initiated by Professor Lap-Chee Tsui and the then Council Chairman Dr Victor Fung in 2005. The late Mr Danny Ho recognised the pivotal role of family medicine as the first level of care in the healthcare process. It was his wish to leave a legacy that would facilitate innovative research and development in family medicine and primary care. To recognize our support, The University invited us to attend the 6th Inauguration of Endowed Professorships on 20 April, 2012 and the 8th Inauguration on 24 February, 2014, the latter of which marked the successful establishment of a total of 80 endowed professorships in the University of Hong Kong across nine years.
