Ellen Choi Scholarship Fund was set up by Dr Philemon Choi to commemorate his late wife Ellen Choi who passed away in 2013. The scholarship fund was dedicated to support the education of youth in Mainland, notably Beichuan of Sichuan. It is very encouraging to know that some beneficiaries — eighteen Beichuan earthquake survivors, three Beijing underprivileged students, and four dedicated undertraining youth workers — vowed to serve their communities in the future. Six candidates from mainland China and Hong Kong, including youth service workers and clergies, received scholarships for taking up the Master programme run by the Youth Global Network on training youth work leaders.
Ellen Choi Scholarship Fund extends its hands to any youth and youth service workers wishing to serve God and their communities in Mainland and Hong Kong. Community Partner Foundation (CPF) is privileged to be one of the supporters of the scholarship fund.
