Mentees of Child Development Matching Fund
CDMF is set up to raise funding from the commercial organizations to match savings from families who join the Child Development Fund (CDF) programme organized by the Hong Kong Government.
In 2014, CPF sponsored a total of 4 choirs singing in International Finance Centre (IFC) Concourse. They are Hong Kong University Alumni Association, SKH St Mary’s Church Mok Hing Yiu College, SKH All Saints’ Middle School, and Joyful Age Group Choir of HKSKH St Stephen’s Church. For each participant singing in the festival, CPF sponsored HK$200 to CDMF.
In 2015, CPF sponsored 3 choirs singing in K11 and IFC. They are SKH St Mary’s Church Mok Hing Yiu College, Joyful Age Group Choir of HKSKH St Stephen’s Church, and Hong Kong University Alumni Association.
In 2016, CPF sponsored a spotlight singing session in which SKH St Mary’s Church Mok Hing Yiu College and SKH Bishop Baker Secondary School performed at Central Plaza on 15 December. On two other occasions, the Joyful Age Group Choir of HKSKH St Stephen’s Church, and the Hong Kong University Alumni Association performed at IFC.
CPF continues to foster its long-standing partnership with the Child Development Matching Fund ( CDMF ). Every Christmas, CPF orchestrates its networks of choir teams to perform at the Carol Singing Festivals with donations to target match the personal savings of those youths coming from a deprived background. [… Besides,] CPF takes active participation to support and guide the development of the Child Development Initiative Alliance ( CDIA ) which devised the READY Program ( Resources for Employment and Academics for Development of Youths ) to ensure rich opportunities are opened to the youths. Under the CDIA READY Program, CPF offers valuable work experience opportunities for these youths to empower them to become job ready and college ready, in the long term, to help them shake off poverty.
CPF serves our community with unparalleled passion and conviction and truly commands our highest respect.
